The Aldila NV features a unique Micro Laminate Technology (MDT) that provides the player uncompromising power, a consistent flex, and superb feel… a highly effective combination. There are a four NV models to choose from, categorized by weight (grams). The lightest model, the NV 55, then the most popular NV 65, followed by the NV 75 and ending with the NV 85. The most popular, NV 65 fits well for most players due to its middle of the road profile. All four models are classified as a low to mid launch angle shaft. The torque starts at 3.9 for the NV 55 (exception of a more generous 4.6 for the “L” flex), down to a very tight 2.6 for the NV 85. The NV is also available in the Proto model which is definitely geared toward the highly skilled player with good club head speed, looking for a low, piercing ball trajectory.

Positives-
Very consistent flex, exceptional feel, that just so happens to pack a punch. The Micro Laminate Technology provides power and consistency throughout making it a very accommodating shaft for the better player.
Negatives-
Very few if any. The only negative is that NV is geared for the stronger player. Therefore for slower swing speeds, you would probably benefit from a shaft with more torque.

A shaft for the better player do to the tight torque ratings and low to mid launch. But in the right hands will provide the power, distance, and feel that a top notch shaft should!

I have the ALDILA V 65-S shaft with a 10.5 Nickalus Head 460.
I have always been an above average long hitter, recently made a small adjustment with my swing now driving balls with a little draw 340 to 360 yards. One of the great things about the shaft is that if you swing to hard or to slow you can really feel it at the inpact of the ball, which helps me maintain my tempo.
Afraide to change and try new clubs with all the success I have been having with this club
I have the nv65s on my bridgestone j33r 8.5 and just love the low penetrating ball flight I get. My buddies hit these high shots thinking they got me beat until we come up on our balls and their shocked that my lower piercing shot out drove them, I’m glad that bridgestone decided to go with these shafts on their drivers. I also have nv75s on my 3 wood love how that performs. try them out you won’t be disappointed.
